- The Council on Accreditation (COA)
is an international, independent, not-for-profit, child- and family-service and behavioral healthcare accrediting organization. COA envisions excellence in the delivery of human services globally, resulting in the well-being of individuals, families, and communities. COA partners with human service organizations worldwide to improve service delivery outcomes by developing, applying, and promoting accreditation standards. Originally known as an accrediting body for family and children's agencies, COA currently accredits 38 different service areas and over 60 types of programs. Among the service areas are substance abuse treatment, adult day care, services for the homeless, foster care, and intercountry adoption.
- The United Way of Burlington County
is an independent, volunteer-directed organization dedicated to meeting the health and human service needs of the people who live in Burlington County, New Jersey. This is accomplished by collaborating with local government and supporting programs at local, nonprofit agencies that address four critical areas of need: strengthening families, investing in children and youth, promoting healthy living and responding to crisis.
- The New Jersey Alliance for Children, Youth and Families
is a membership organization which represents agencies serving "at risk" abused, neglected or otherwise vulnerable children living in group homes, residential treatment centers, shelters or specialized foster care settings.
- The Foster Family-based Treatment Association (FFTA)
is an agency-led organization of treatment foster care providers established in 1988 with an initial purpose of defining and refining Treatment Foster Care practices. The Association's membership is composed of agencies throughout North America currently operating treatment foster care programs. Organizations that are not direct service providers, but have an interest in the field, hold affiliate membership status. FFTA is assisted by recognized researchers and policy-makers in the fields of child welfare and mental health.
- The Center for Outcomes
is our Think Tank core where we develop and test field-ready tools to enhance organizational and community outcomes. Using a prototyping strategy, small projects are launched to test and refine innovative approaches designed to enhance the power of outcome thinking. The Center replenishes our "thoughtware" for use in projects and collaborations with government, philanthropy and non-profit groups across the country and internationally.
- The New Jersey Department of Children and Families
provides various services for children and families to ensure children's safety, permanency and well-being. In addition, the Department provides services to help families and children through social, emotional and other problems that could result in family disruption.
- Search Institute
is an independent nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide leadership, knowledge, and resources to promote healthy children, youth, and communities. To accomplish this mission, the institute generates and communicates new knowledge, and brings together community, state, and national leaders. At the heart of the institute's work is the framework of 40 Developmental Assets, which are positive experiences and personal qualities that young people need to grow up healthy, caring, and responsible.
- The National Network for Youth
is a 30-year old national non-profit membership and advocacy organization that provides education, networking, training, materials and policy work with federal, state, and local lawmakers. The mission of the National Network for Youth is to champion the needs of runaway, homeless, and other disconnected youth through advocacy, innovation and services - one community at a time.
- Annie E. Casey Foundation
Since 1948, the Annie E. Casey Foundation has worked to build better futures for disadvantaged children and their families in the United States. The primary mission of the Foundation is to foster public policies, human service reforms, and community supports that more effectively meet the needs of today's vulnerable children and families.
- The Child Welfare League of America (CWLA),
the nation's oldest and largest membership-based child welfare organization, has been known and respected as a champion for children since 1920. Our primary objective, and the title of both our current strategic plan and our National Framework for Community Action, is Making Children a National Priority. To do that, we must engage all Americans in promoting the well-being of children and young people and protecting them from harm.
- The Pew Commission on Children in Foster Care
was established to develop recommendations to improve outcomes for children in the foster care system. Of primary importance are expediting the movement of such children from foster care into safe, permanent, nurturing families, and preventing unnecessary placements in foster care.
- The Future of Children
seeks to promote effective policies and programs for children by providing policymakers, service providers, and the media with timely, objective information based on the best available research. The Future of Children is a publication of The Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and The Brookings Institution.
- The mission of the Children's Defense Fund
is to Leave No Child Behind and to ensure every child a Healthy Start, a Head Start, a Fair Start, a Safe Start, and a Moral Start in life and successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities. CDF provides a strong, effective voice for all the children of America who cannot vote, lobby, or speak for themselves. We pay particular attention to the needs of poor and minority children and those with disabilities. CDF educates the nation about the needs of children and encourages preventive investment before they get sick or into trouble, drop out of school, or suffer family breakdown.
- The Alliance for Children and Families
provides services to nonprofit child and family serving and economic empowerment organizations. Motivated by a vision of a healthy society and strong communities, we work to strengthen America's nonprofit sector and through advocacy assure the sector's continued independence. The Alliance, formed by the 1998 merger of Family Service America and the National Association of Homes and Services for Children, helps member agency leaders successfully meet today's and tomorrow's challenges by drawing upon its more than 90 years of leadership in the human services community.
