  • Josh, Transitional Living Program
    First of all, I’d just like to thank you. More or less to say what’s most important first and that’s to Thank the Transitional Living Program (TLP) for giving me a chance. I know that’s not much to say, since I am a man of few words, it’s a lot. TLP took me in and treated me with care, respect and as a fellow human being. No words can simply even start to suggest my gratitude towards Darlene, LaVonne and the TLP Staff. Some more then others took time to talk with me and tell me the things I needed to hear, whether I wanted to hear them or not. To be blunt, I drifted through the program not realizing the tremendous opportunity it provided me. After all is it not the point for us to realign ourselves and to be faced in the direction we need to be headed, which is, of course, not to stay forever. But to move forward with life and explore all there is to offer. I might not have been the most social person there, to say the least, but I did enjoy everyone’s company, even though I might not have portrayed it. I have to say in all honesty and make a recommendation that TLP could have possibly given the youth more structure, not to the point of tyranny, but sometimes our freedom is a bad thing and we make poor choices only to be realigned again. So, all-in-all. Thanks again and again!

    Thank you for everything you have done for me – I still can't believe that you drove me all the way to New York so I could get into college there - you gave me a chance to be somebody in life. It's people like you that help me remember if in my greatest sorrow, it's not over and God is still with me. You are truly an inspiration to me. I don't know how I could ever repay you for your patience with me, but hopefully my success will show my gratitude.
