  • History:
    Established in 1984, Crossroads' Transitional Living Program (TLP) is a residential program for older youth who are homeless. The teens who come to the program generally have been abused and abandoned by families that have deteriorated from violence, substance abuse and/or chronic poverty. The program offers safe, supportive, long-term housing and life skills training for up to 10 teenagers.

  • Program Goal:
    The goal is too encourage youth to develop their own potential, acquire the marketable job readiness skills required to successfully enter the workforce, and successfully transition into adulthood.

  • Target Population:
    The program is Medicaid eligible and accepts referrals from the Division of Youth and Family Services and Value Options for males and females (ages 16-18 years) who are homeless.

  • Services:
    - Housing, food and clothing
    - Case management
    - Individual and group counseling
    - Recreational activities
    - Transportation
    - Basic life skills training, including marketable job readiness skills
